The Community Basketball League (CBL) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players, coaches, referees, and spectators. Participation in the CBL is a privilege and requires compliance with our standards of conduct. We ask that you review our rules and policies with your player.
By registering your child, you agree to the following:
Parent & Spectator Responsibilities:
- Support all players, coaches, and officials in a positive manner.
- Refrain from verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, or questioning officials’ calls.
- Respect facilities and refrain from causing damage
- Avoid confrontations with other spectators, coaches, or players.
- Remain free of alcohol, drugs, and abusive language while attending events.
- Understand that violations may result in removal from the facility, fines, team forfeits, or suspension of spectator privileges.
Player Responsibilities
- Always demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, and referees.
- Adhere to the rules and ethical sportsmanship of the game
- Demonstrate good character—refrain from fighting, taunting, or disrespectful conduct.
- Prioritize learning, development, and safety over the outcome of the game.
- Follow and respect all team, league, and facility rules and policies.
League Enforcement
Violations of this Code, the CBL Rulebook, or League Policies (including the Spectator Conduct Policy, Coaches’ and Officials’ Codes of Conduct, Social Media Policy, and Non-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment Policy) are considered violations of the Bylaws (Version 4, approved August 17, 2025) and may result in disciplinary action, including fines, suspension, or expulsion
